Dordt Ag Day Recap

April 2026

We had a great time at Dordt Ag Day!

As one of our valued bronze partners, Dordt University Ag Club provided the perfect setting to bring one of WIDA’s big ideas to life. Back in February, we set a goal to expand dairy education in western Iowa—and this event was a meaningful step in that direction.

We hosted a Milk Quality & Products competition for western Iowa FFA members, with 26 students participating and sharpening their skills. Alongside that, our dairy education booth welcomed 200+ kids, college students, and parents, giving them a chance to learn more about dairy and how it connects to their everyday lives.

A highlight of the day was the blender bike, thanks to Noel Peterson with Iowa State University Extension and Outreach—it kept visitors engaged and added a fun, hands-on element to learning.

Lastly, we were also an official sponsor of the 5K race and milk provided throughout the day.

We’re grateful for opportunities like this to connect with our community and continue sharing the story of dairy in western Iowa!
